Nicely Fitted Cartons

It has been a busy start to June, following on from our last blog entry I am pleased to say we are running a number of production trials for several new customers, from a range of different industry sectors that include the food and drinks through to engineering.

For June we are focusing on cartons, packing boxes, corrugated cases, cardboard shippers, whatever you call them we are asking…. does your pack size work for you? Has your product size or shape been changed but your carton hasn’t moved along to fit? Maybe your volumes have increased and you’re still buying boxes ‘off the shelf’ at a premium price which only offer a nearest fit. If your outer pack needs addressing then we can definitely be of help.

Cartons that are poorly sized can slow down your packing operation, puts your products at risk during transit and can look unsightly when they arrive with your customer.

Whether you’re packing very small lightweight items or large heavy parts, we would be pleased to manufacture a carton that fits your product or pack size perfectly. Single or double wall, plain or printed in a white/mottled/kraft or recycled finish we can produce a packing case that does the job at the right price.

We recently worked with a customer on the re-design of an existing carton, where a pack contents had been changed to suit their customer requirements, this had led to the existing carton bulging in the middle. We collected a sample of the products to be packed, to enable us to make the necessary adjustments and then returned to customer a day later with a size sample to approve. The new cardboard case was quicker and easier to pack and gave a tight fit to ensure the products didn’t move around in transit.

Have a look at the images below…..previous carton had to be side-loaded which meant filling the boxes was a slow process (for the benefit of the pictures I turned it upright), the lug is straining and the carton is bulging. For the re-designed case the location of the flaps were changed so it could be top loaded speeding things up on the packing line, and the internal dimensions adjusted to make a nicely fitted carton.
